About Me

Katie Traynor (she/her/elle)

Katie Traynor (she/her/elle) and I'm a 3rd Year Planner in the Faculty of Environment. Currently, I am the Vice-President of the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association (WUSA). When I ran for the position of Vice-President I ran with confidence in my skills for communication, leadership, and organization. During my time as VP I have acquired in-depth knowledge about the organization and advocacy engagements ranging from provincial, to federal, to municipal advocacy. I owe much of my success and current knowledge now to the people who supported me in my second year and a special thanks to Dami (Oluwadamilare Awoleye) for helping within the last day of receiving nominations. It has been an honor to be a student representative and a privilege to have work as Vice-President here at WUSA to advocate to university stakeholders and Canadian governments on your behalf.

With that in mind. I would like to use the rest of my undergraduate degree to dedicate my time and capacity as a student leader to continue efforts to improve WUSA and advocate for students at the university-level.

Please take some time to read through my Platform, About Me/Qualifications Page, and Waterloo United. Waterloo United is a team of student leaders who are all running in the most recent WUSA elections (including myself).

In-depth

Waterloo United was formed with two goals in mind: double this year's election turnout, and ensure that the student leaders who represent all students are highly motivated and capable.

We're a team running to represent you on the Board and at Senate, with students from every faculty on campus. Our group spans a diverse set of backgrounds and experience: Executive experience, heavily involved club leaders, and seriously motivated and involved students.

Waterloo United is not just a team; we're a movement dedicated to making our student association work for students. Join us on this journey to get things done.

Waterloo United: Your voices, our mission. A united front for concrete change.
